National Dog Portrait Awards
Vips Photograpy are pleased to be associated with The national Dog Portrait Awards for this year.
We are part of an exciting national group of photographers who are raising money for various charities through the year.
Monthly and annual cash prizes are available and the details of the awards are as follows and can also be found on https://dogportraitawards.co.uk
WHAT ARE THE NATIONAL DOG PORTRAIT AWARDS?
The National Dog Portrait Awards is a new photography competition open to dogs and their owners across the UK. We’re on a mission to find the nation’s best professional dog portrait and most photogenic pooch. Whether you’ve got a Poodle with oodles of personality, or a debonair Doberman, we want to see them captured in all their glory.
But it’s not just glory that you and your furry friend will win. There are fantastic prizes for the best three portraits, including a top prize of £1500 cash and a £500 framed print of your photo.
Entry costs just £10 and all profits will go to UK dog charities voted for by you. Think your dog would make a magnificent portrait? Then find your nearest photographer today.
WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
The competition kicks off in January 2019, with a deadline for submissions the following September. Once all entries have been received, we will select the best 250 for a people’s vote on social media. This will give us our final shortlist of 50 which will be published in October.
The three winners will be chosen by an expert judging panel and announced in November 2019.
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
We’re offering cash prizes for the winner and two runners up. The top dog and their owner will receive £1500 cash, with an additional £1000 and £500 for second and third spots. All winners will receive a £500 canvas of their portrait. The photographers who take the three winning portraits will also get their own prizes.
HOW DO I MAKE MY DOG CHARITY DONATION?
The National Dog Portrait Awards is proud to support doggy charities nationwide. When you pay your £10 entry fee, we’ll take a small admin cost then put the remainder into a donation pot. You will then have a chance to vote along with other entrants for which worthy charity it goes to. This will happen towards the end of the competition, in October, after all entries are closed.
